This is Barbara E Shepard's portfolio of contemporary art works

It gives a record of her contemporary art practice over the past 40 years exploring a range of subject matter. She has produced many fine art works. Some are naturalistic and include: landscape pictures, portraits and figurative art. Others employ a modern art approach. Many abstract art pieces are derived from organic forms, but she has also been comfortable working with non figurative imagery some based on decorative motifs, or pure 'abstract expressionist' methods of making marks and colour.

Although not available for sale this portfolio also records, her public and community art projects, illustrations and art commissions

Barbara E Shepard's art spans a variety of art media. Her portfolio contains fine art works including: oil paintings, water colour paintings, pastel drawings and contemporary abstract sculpture. Some of her earlier pieces are in collage and photo-montage, textiles and batik. A keen photographer for many years she also creates fine art pieces in photography and digital imagery and has used photography as a basis for painting.

Some of the art works are grouped in series. Alongside the enlarged image is a brief description of her approach and the medium she used to create it.

Many pieces are for sale, some as original art works and some as limited edition prints. Fine art prints are usually, either on canvas or specialist paper. Limited edition prints are signed and numbered in the bottom right corner.

Some pieces are listed as unavailable works but may become available at a later date so feel free to make enquiries if you have seen a piece of contemporary art you would like to own.
